Description
Two inner rows of Saqas Tika represent furrows, fields, and flowering plants. The outer two rows represent Inti — the spirit of light and the sun — at sunrise, noon, sunset, and midnight. The two panels represent the male-female complimentary duality of Q’ero culture. All aspects of every Q’ero textile are visual poetry that express the Q’ero people’s intimate relationship with the earth, Pachamama, the Apus, and all aspects of the natural and spiritual world. 29 x 25.5 inches. 73 x 65 cm.
